It is with great pride that we state that parents back us in various ways and stand by us at all times. Parents also extend their co-operation in whatever activities the school plans for the academic as well as the non-academic progress of our pupils. One of the main reasons for our college to march forward with this much success is the strength and support rendered by our parents.
Each and every parent is welcome to make an appointment to meet us. Somebody from the senior management is generally available on a Wednesday between 10 a.m. and 12 Noon, but it is best to make an appointment as those who have booked a time slot will, obviously, be given their allotted time. We believe that every child is unique and the problems the parent may face with his own child may be unique too. Each pupil’s problems are discussed in detail and immediate action is taken to overcome problems.
A suggestion box is available for parents and well-wishers to put whatever suggestion they have regarding the school. Suggestions should have your name and phone No. on them so that we may contact you in case we need any clarification.
We realize that no matter how well we think and we perform, there is always room for improvement and there may also be slips on our part. In the event of such an occurrence, the aggrieved parent is welcome to make an entry in the Complaints Book which has a column for our response. We look upon all genuine complaints in a positive manner and so request the complainant to provide name and phone No., so that we may be able to get back with a solution regarding the action taken by us to overcome the problem.
Books containing the doctrines of various religious leaders are kept in the ‘Mind Refreshing Corner’ for visitors to read and acquire some knowledge about different religions. Free issues kept there can be taken away by anyone who really wishes to share them.
In a very short period (over the past three years) our school has become very popular among all parents … Sinhala, Tamil and Muslims. As a result our admissions have shown a manifold increase. The only secret of this is the planning and implementation of our academic and extracurricular activities in a successful manner.
The Board of Directors of Oxford International College Badulla has made arrangements in our school system for all those interested in charity work, to get involved in various ways. In the year 2008 an ice cream dansela was organized for passers-by on Poson Poya Day. Tea was given to all the old people living in a nearby home for the aged, and they were entertained with Bhakthi Gee. Every year steps are taken to distribute dried food items to needy Muslims during the month of Ramadan. This is done with the help of parents… Permission was granted for our school premises to be used for a blood donation campaign. A beautiful token of appreciation was presented to the honourable minister of health & nutrition, Mr. Nimal Siripala De Silva to honour him when he was appointed as president of the W.H.O. another token was given to the Girl Guides Commissioner Miss. Hapugoda to honour her services rendered to Uva province over the past 60 years
